Kimberleigh “Ali” Ferrando is a transactional attorney with the firm’s corporate, real estate and non-profit practice, guiding clients through every stage of growth from formation to exit.

Ali provides legal counsel to individuals and both for profit and non-profit entities across all phases business ownership and operation including, entity selection and formation, reorganizations, succession planning, mergers and acquisitions and dissolution. She also counsels clients through partner, shareholder, and member disputes, helping to resolve internal conflicts efficiently. Ali advises clients on a broad range of transactional matters, including the structuring, drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements and real estate transactions and assists clients in protecting their intellectual property through the registration and maintenance of trademarks.

Prior to joining Brothers Smith LLP, Ali represented public and private entities in complex civil litigation matters including personal injury, property damage, and breach of contract claims. This experience informs her practical, risk-aware approach to transactional work.

Ali has been recognized by the Northern California Super Lawyers as a Rising Star for 2025-2026. She is licensed to practice law in California and is an active member of the Contra Costa County Bar Association where she serves as the Chair of the Business Law Section and the President of the Barristers (the association’s young lawyers’ section).

Ali received her J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 2020, with dual concentrations in business and intellectual property law. She earned her B.A. in Political Science, with a certificate in Legal Studies, from California State University, Long Beach in 2017.
